Training in Paradise Volume I: The Conceptual Framework

Volume I of  the six volumes in the Training in Paradise series is finally in print.  Over the last 20 years. we have vascillated about whether  the book should be organized chronologically, by training component, or by country.  We finally decided, because we have amassed so much material, to organize it by training area in separate volunmes.  Volume I:  The Conceptual Framework:  A Sampler;   Volume II: Training of Trainers; Volume III:  Project Planning ; Volume IV:  Emergency Management; Volume V: Project Management ; Volume VI: Special Learning Experiences,    Each section deals with a particular issue in or aspect of training  and includes an experience from that time and place, a narrative description of what happened, and a training design. We have decided to include some sections on our web site—a precursor of more to come. In deciding which piece to include, we chose one Denny wrote about Pakistan—from a workshop that took place almost 20 years ago when we were running Training Associates in Thailand. Perhaps it is because we are back in Murree, overlooking the hills, that it seems so appropriate now.
